The ETravelSim Malaysia eSIM is data-only. There are no incoming calls, no SMS, and no Malaysian phone number assigned. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram, or WeChat over the data connection. WhatsApp is the default messaging app across Malaysia, so most hotels, tour operators, and Grab drivers reach you there. Keep your home SIM active in your phone for calls to your usual number and to receive banking OTPs, with cellular data turned off on that line.

Quick ways to confirm eSIM support

Via Settings (iPhone)

Open Settings → General → About.
Look for Available SIM / Digital SIM or an EID field.
