The ETravelSim South Africa eSIM is data-only. There are no incoming calls, no SMS, and no South African phone number assigned. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime, iMessage, or Zoom over the data connection for calls. WhatsApp is the default messaging app across South Africa, so most accommodations and tour operators will reach you there. Keep your home SIM active in your phone for calls to your usual number, with cellular data turned off on that line.
Clear and simple: full-speed data each day, then unlimited at a steady speed—resets daily.
